RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is a standardized process for authorizing merchandise returns for repair, replacement or refund. It enables tracking of each return, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing return management. Verisav automates the RMA process by generating unique authorization numbers, tracking return status and integrating data into the DPP for complete traceability. The RMA process is essential for effectively managing product returns in after-sales service. It begins with the consumer's return request, which must be justified by a defect, non-conformity or operational problem. The manufacturer or retailer evaluates the request and issues a return authorization with a unique RMA number. This number enables tracking of the product throughout the return process, from shipment by the consumer to receipt, inspection, repair or replacement, and return to the consumer or refund. The RMA process must comply with legal deadlines, particularly those of the legal guarantee of conformity which imposes response and processing deadlines. A good RMA process enables reduction of return-related costs, improved customer satisfaction and maintenance of complete product traceability. The DPP plays an important role in the RMA process by storing all return-related information: request date, return reason, RMA number, processing status, etc. Verisav automates the entire RMA process by automatically generating authorization numbers, tracking return status in real time, integrating data into the DPP and automatically notifying different stakeholders (consumers, retailers, manufacturers) at each stage of the process.
