The manufacturer is the company that produces or has a product produced. It is responsible for product compliance with regulations, quality, warranty and spare parts availability. The DPP must include manufacturer information (name, address, contact). Verisav records manufacturer information in the DPP, enabling traceability and facilitating communication between consumers, repairers and manufacturers. The manufacturer is the central stakeholder in the value chain, as it is responsible for design, production, and product quality. It has important legal obligations: compliance with regulations (safety, environment, etc.), legal warranty of conformity, spare parts availability (particularly under the AGEC law and ESPR regulation), and consumer information. The manufacturer must also ensure traceability of its products and document all necessary information in the DPP. Manufacturer information in the DPP is essential for several reasons: it enables consumers to know product origin and contact the manufacturer in case of problems, it facilitates communication between different stakeholders (consumers, repairers, retailers, manufacturers), it ensures value chain traceability, and it enables compliance with regulatory obligations. The DPP can store all manufacturer information: company name, address, contact details, website, certifications, etc. This information is accessible to all authorized stakeholders, thus facilitating communication and collaboration. Verisav records all this information in the DPP upon product creation, thus enabling complete traceability and facilitating communication between all value chain stakeholders.
