Uncompressed Syntax

Uncompressed syntax is the GS1 Digital Link URI format recommended by GSCN 23-103 specification for the European Digital Product Passport. Unlike compressed syntax which encodes data in a compact manner, uncompressed syntax uses explicit Application Identifiers in the URI, making the code more readable and interoperable. Example: https://id.gs1.org/01/{GTIN}/21/{SERIAL} where 01 is the AI for GTIN and 21 is the AI for serial number. This format facilitates QR code resolution by standard scanners and ensures better compatibility with existing systems.
